Women’s Riding
Poole Wheelers are well known for being a friendly and approachable cycling club. This is never more true than in relation to supporting women who wish to take part in the sport. Our female membership has shot up in recent times so you definitely won’t be alone!
We actively encourage more women riders come along to events, meet members and join the club. Whether you want to enjoy social riding or try your hand at racing, please get in touch if you would like more information on how to get involved.

Women’s club rides
We run regular women’s rides on Monday evenings, meeting outside the pavilion in Poole Park at 6:30pm. The pace is steady and we often ride in multiple groups to account for different abilities. No-one gets left behind, so it’s the ideal opportunity to enjoy a social ride, get fitter and increase your confidence riding in a group. We ride in loops around Sandbanks, so if you’re on a tight timescale you can join later or peel off early. Feel free to contact Suzy for more information or to be added to the WhatsApp group. You can also join join the Poole Wheelers’ Facebook group for regular updates.

Other Club Rides
All are welcome at our other regular rides, and we’re seeing lots more females out these days. Check out our social & training rides page for more details.
Time Trials
We love seeing more women taking part in our weekly time trials, so feel free to check out our Time Trials page for more information. Our time trials team will be happy to answer any questions you might have but, we’re a friendly bunch (and chatty) so we are sure you’ll enjoy the events!
