PW TT 24/03/2024 πŸš€ The Results πŸš€
With the first sunshine seen in March, the Poole Wheelers TT season is now up and running πŸ™Œ
A big Thanks to Ros and Marcy for timekeeping. Our marshalls this week Jane, Suzy and Pep. I literally couldn’t have run the race without your help β€οΈπŸ’›
Today will most likely go down as one of the toughest and slowest TTs of the year. If this was your first TT on the P459, it’s not like this every week! A wickedly strong NE headwind greeted the riders on the turn into Puddletown Road. Top work to everyone who slogged through it πŸ’¨πŸƒ
The quickest time on the day was Paul Jones of Primera Team-Jobs with a 23:05. On his first attempt on the course, Henry Austin set an impressive 23:20, and Matt Stanbury third with 23:24 (Please don’t retire as you didn’t set a PB!).
The fastest lady, Sarah Inwood kicked off a big TT season with 29:23. Followed by Sian Mcpherson, with an equally big season ahead with a 20:41.
In the Road Bike category. A second separated Dan Newman and myself, setting an early season benchmark of 23:25 and 23:26. I’m happy to take bragging rights going into the start of the season. Third place went to Alasdair Hitchin with a 24:50.
Great to see new faces to the TT scene. Great first times set by Colin Crosthwaite and Liz Cook! hopefully see you on the first Wednesday evening TT in a few weeks.
Our next TT is on Wednesday 10th April at 6:45pm. See you all then.
