Sportives
Poole Wheelers’ members regularly participate in sportives, charity rides or even audax.
Many of our club members are also active cycle tourists. Club riders have completed the old classics such as LEJOG and Coast to Coast.
We have riders who have toured on the continent and over the alps on single bikes as well as tandems. Whatever your interest Poole Wheelers will have someone who has done it, tried it or know someone else.
We often organise groups to participate in sportives or charity rides, which helps share the logistical burden and provides a great social atmosphere.

Ride London 100
In the past 3-5 years there has been a big Poole Wheelers group taking part in the Ride London 100 event. We will publish more details about past and future events in the near future.
Rejected by the Ride London ballot (again!)?
Then why not muster your local cycling group and join the Not Ride London – Ride Dorset Cycle Challenge on the same day? All in support of Julia’s House childrens hospices.

Later this summer Ben and Chris are taking on the Julia’s House Bournemouth to Paris Cycle Challenge. Anyone else taking part, let us know!
You’ll have an unforgettable long weekend as you cycle 296 miles through some of the best English and French countryside, passing through small villages, medieval market towns and the iconic Normandy Landing Beaches.
TeamCoast2Coast2017
Fellow Poole Wheelers Richard, Denzil & Murray will attempt to ride together not in relay from one side of America to the other covering 3100 miles – riding 100 miles a day. You can follow their progress via Facebook. Their whole trip is 100% self-funded, but they are fundraising for Cancer Reasearch UK. Please support if you can.
