To sign up: you only have to complete the Google form above, I’ll post the start sheet on Wednesday mid-afternoon on FB and by email.
The evening is just like Park Run, the race/event is open to everyone. The main aim is to enjoy some racing and being part of the cycling community. You can enter on a Road Bike, TT bike or a Gravel Bike, you only need a helmet and a front and rear light.
The Weather: Sunshine and temps of about 18c 🌡️. it should be a good evening for a time trial. The easterly wind is a wildcard, for some, it’s a PB day, for others not. My advice is to pedal hard on the bottom road then hang on for dear life with the tail wind up Puddletown road.
The Course: Each week we use our regular course near Wool (P459). It is simple to navigate, with only 3 left turns. A long downhill, a long flat, and a 2% incline back to the finish line. You can see the full course here: https://www.strava.com/segments/17425486?oq=P459
Trophies! During the season we have a number of leagues for everyone depending on your Personal Best, as well as leagues for Road Bikes, Veterans (over 40’s), Ladies and Juniors.
The cost: We charge £5 for members and £6 for Non-members. For Juniors u18, it is an optional cost of £3. You can pay on the night, *preferably by cash*, but you can also pay by bank transfer or contactless card.
