Firstly, thank you to Ros and Marcy for timekeeping tonight and our marshalls of Paul Brown and Michelle Lindley. I couldn’t have had the go-ahead without your help π
An update on Jonathan Watts who came off his bike this evening, due to an incident with a parked car. He was checked over by paramedics at the scene and seemed all ok but they decided to take him to A&E for some precautionary X-rays. Jon, I hope you’re not too sore and everyone at the club hopes you’re back on the bike soon π
Was it a quick night? Did many PB?
Congratulations to Brett Wheeler for the quickest road bike time, with an absolutely rapid 20:48 π€― Second was Dan Newman with a barnstorming ride to set a new PB of 21:38. In third place, and sadly his final PW TT before heading to New Zealand was Tom Nancarrow with. 21:40. Dan Newman will now forever have the bragging rights of the quicker time!
In the TT cat. Matt Stanbury proved he does have a high HR setting the quickest time of 22:17.
Holly Ramsey set the quickest ladies’ time on the night with a 22:54. I’m sure in the coming years will be setting the quickest times on the course!
Finally, a shoutout to Phil Harvey for setting what I believe is our first and therefore quickest gravel bike time. Benchmark set 31:18. It shows, whatever bike you have, get out and have some fun racing on it π©π©
