Thanks to everyone who supported the TT, marshalling, timekeeping, and racing. We had Ros, Marcy and Graham on the timekeeping team. Bex Hughes, Sarah Inwood & Paul Brown marshalling π
I did tell everyone, no block headwind on Puddletown Road, it’s going to be a quick night! No one believed me, but Flip, there were some PBs out there π§¨π
π₯went to, Dan Newman, in doing so he smashed through the sub-23-minute barrier on his Road bike for the first time. A time od 22:22 was a PB and 40 seconds quicker than last week. Also enough for Third Overall!
π₯went to Tom JN. Taking 50 seconds off his Road Bike PB set last year with a 21:27.
π₯ went to Brett Wheeler, who has returned from his time away in scintillating form. An incredible 20:28 on a ROAD BIKE! This is the new Road Bike’s best time for the course and the quickest a Poole Wheeler has gone around the P459!
π© In the Female Road bike category, is was a head-to-head between the two juniors Grace Upshall and Matilde Blagden.
π₯ went to Matilde Blagden. Another rider who is getting faster each week, Matilde easily broke through the 30 minute barrier with a time of 29:33.
π₯ Was Grace Upshall. Now to quick for Dad Paul to keep up, Grace did a 26:30 π
On TT bikes. It could not have been any closer! Only 2 seconds separated Robbie Fall, Lee Chalk and James Rowat. Young Robbie Fall was the fastest, with a rapid 23:55. This was enough to pip Lee Chalk to the quickest time, who set a 23:56. Coming in Third was James Rowat with a 23:57. I can’t wait to see how this battle to’s and fro’s through the season!
It was great to see legend and zwifter Mike Ashurst returning to the course! despite illness on his return he set a very respectable 30:34.
Good luck to the riders competing at the Gary Dighton Memorial TT on Sunday! Next Wednesday we’ll be back on the P459! Let’s hope for a another South Westerly wind!
