Women riders

Poole Wheelers are well known for being a friendly and approachable cycling club. Never more true than in relation to supporting women who wish to take part in the sport.

If you are nervous about starting out in cycling come and speak to our women riders and find out what the realities are.

We are actively looking for more women riders come along and meet the members. Please get in touch with our club secretary, or either of our ladies captains if you would like more information or just a chat about how to get involved.

Women’s club rides

Women’s ride on Monday evening

There are now regular women’s rides on Monday evenings. We meet outside the cricket pavilion in Poole Park at 7pm. The pace is steady and no-one gets dropped, so it’s the ideal opportunity to enjoy a social ride with other women, get fitter and increase your confidence with riding in a group. We ride in loops around Sandbanks, so if you’re on a tight timescale you can join later or peel off early. Feel free to contact organisers Ellie or Lauren for more information or to be added to the WhatsApp group, or join the Poole Wheelers’ Facebook group for regular updates about all our activities.
